Lotteries offer an excellent solution to meet our students' needs, but the process must be clear and transparent. Given the constraints of limited resources, we inevitably fall short of meeting the expectations of some families. It's crucial for families to trust the integrity we've built into the system. Many districts rely on spreadsheets or other solutions to randomize applicants, which can lead to unnecessary questions and public skepticism. Now, imagine having a dedicated tool designed specifically for this purpose, offering both the flexibility and controls needed to eliminate any doubts about the lottery's fairness.

Lottery Management Process
- Applications are collected within a defined timeframe
- A pool of eligible applicants is created based upon a review of applications
- Manual placement can be made (if desired) and an audit trail is created for user/date/placement reason
- Weighting parameters (if desired) are assigned
- Advanced randomized process creates:
- Selected List
- Ranked Waitlist
- Selected applicants are notified and asked to Accept/Decline the seat
- Accepted and Declined Applications are recorded as they are received
- As applicants decline their placements:
- Applicants at the top of the waiting list automatically move into the Selected List
- Are notified and asked to Accept/Decline the seat
